Producing without disabilities is a project developed for the automotive security company Autoliv which facilities are needed of design solutions in the workplace for people whose physical conditions are specific. The context is a manufacturing celd in which 14 of 22 employees have different sort of limitation, 3 of them uses wheel chair, 1 is deaf mute, others have poliomyelitis sequelae, among others.
Thinking about disability, there are two elements that we focused in:
Society, specifically taboos that affect both parts and individual,
considering human rights as main axis of the project development.
This image shows the 9 affections that were considered to make
the result more functional for each user.
In order to filter and synthesize the information, 7 archetypes were created and each one would have enough information to understand every need and desire.
Safety was the main issue to approach and productivity the main gain to boost.
The result is a mechanism that allows the user to move the printer turning it on the table instead of pulling it out.
It can be used individually or connected with another module.
